Thomas Högenes

Managing Director

Market economist, DIHM, IHM Business School 1989.

Mr Högenes has 23 years experience from the IT and telecom industry. 1983 to 1991 he worked with services, sales and marketing for Diab Data AB, a leading Swedish company devoted to open systems and Unix. 

From 1991 to 1994 he managed sales and marketing for the systems integration division of Groupe Bull in Northern Europe. He then worked three years within the Frontec group. For Frontec AMT he worked with middleware and electronic commerce as Vice President, Marketing. 

Between 1997 and 2000 he worked with alliances, mergers, acquisitions and partner management for Ericsson Enterprise worldwide. He was also involved in the build-up of Ericsson's global e-commerce operation.

 

Patrik Johansson

Chief Technology Officer

MSc Computer Science and Software Engineering 1997, Linköpings Tekniska Högskola.

Mr. Johansson started working with web caching 1996 at Ericsson Utvecklings AB. In 1997 he joined Ellemtel and continued his work in the area of server networks. 

In 1998 this lead to a co-operation with the Internet2 project Distributed Storage Infrastructure (I2-DSI). During the fall of 1999 he worked in USA for I2-DSI, doing research and development. His experience includes development of advanced networking software as well as project management.

 


 

Christophe Achouiantz

Development Manager

MSc Computer Networks 1997, ESIL Marseilles.

In 1997 Mr. Achouiantz joined Ellemtel to work as a research engineer in the Internet field. He has thorough experience in Internet networking, Internet e-business applications and Internet middleware solutions. 

In 1999 he joined the Internet2 project Distributed Storage Infrastructure (I2-DSI), University of Tennessee, to work on future content distribution models for the Internet.

 

 

Micah Beck

Chief Scientist

BA Math & CS, Wisconsin 1979; Masters CS, Stanford 1980; PhD CS, Cornell 1992. 

Mr. Beck currently works as a Research Associate Professor at the Innovative Computer Laboratory, Computer Science Department, University of Tennessee. He also holds the Chair of Internet2 Network Storage Working Group. In 1980-1983 he was a Member of Technical Staff of Bell Laboratories. He has also worked one year as a management consultant and has previously been involved with four start-ups.

 

 

Terry Moore

Senior strategist

BA Philosophy, Purdue 1972; Masters (1976) and PhD (1993) Philosophy, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. From 1981 to 1992 he taught Logic, Epistemology, Moral Philosophy at both UNC and at North Carolina State University. In 1992 he came to the University of Tennessee (UT), working first as the Director of Computing and Communications for the College of Nursing (1992-5), and then as the leader of academic projects for UT's Telecommunications and Network Services Division (1995-7).

Since 1996 he has worked in partnership with Prof. Micah Beck and has created the Internet2 Distributed Storage Infrastructure (I2-DSI) project in 1998. That year they also joined the UT's Innovative Computing Laboratory (ICL), where they expanded their research and development agenda in the area of high performance distributed computing.

He is currently an Associate Director for Project Development at the Innovative Computing Laboratory, Computer Science Department at the University of Tennessee.
